Translocacions d'espècies: contribució al debat

Se revisa i intenta centrar el debat sobre les introduccions, reintroduccions i reubicacions d'espècies a les Balears. Se proposa, entre, altres coses, potenciar els estudis en Biologia de la Conservació, seguir uns models no-continentalistes de gestió, propiciar un Programa de Gestió de la Naturalesa de les Balears que englobi les translocacions d'espècies, sotmetre a avaluacions científiques externes els Programes de Translocacions i avaluar-ne també els resultats. Se recomana una moratòria en els Programes de Translocació fins que se disposi d'un Programa Global de Gestió.Species translocations: a contribution to the debate. The debate on introductions, reintroductions and restocking of species in the Balearic Islands is considered. Some proposals are to engage and develop studies in Biological Conservation; follow non- continentals models of management; initiate and carry on a Program for Nature Management in the Balearics where species translocations ought to be comprised; submit to external scientific evaluation all translocation programs; and carry out monitoring of results. A moratorium on translocation programs is recommended until a global management program is available

Les rates pinyades (Mammalia : Chiroptera)

[cat] S'estudia la fauna de rates pinyades del Pleistocè superior i Holocè del jaciment del Pouàs (Sant Antoni de Portmany, Eivissa). S'han diagnosticat 581 restes que pertanyen a 5-6 espècies: Rhinolophus sp. cf. mehelyi/euryale, Rhinolophus hipposideros, Myotis myotis, Myotis cf. emarginatus i Plecotus cf. austriacus. La fauna pre-humana de les Pitiüses també inclouria Rhinolophus ferrumequinum, detectat a dos jaciments de l'illa. Les restes de rates pinyades s'han acumulat bàsicament gràcies a l'acció d'un o diversos agents bioacumuladors. Com a mínim entre el 57% i el 36,5 % de les espècies que vivien a l'illa en el moment de la colonització humana no hi viuen actualment.[eng] The bat fauna from the Upper Pleistocene and Holocene levels of Es Pouàs (Sant Antoni de Portmany, Eivissa) is presented in this paper. 581 remains belonging to 56 species have been identified: Rhinolophus sp. cf. mehelyi/euryale, Rhinolophus hipposideros, Myotis myotis, Myotis cf. emarginatus and Plecotus cf. austriacus. The prehuman fauna of the Pityusics also includes Rhinolophus ferrumequinum. The great horsehoe bat has been recorded at two Eivissan deposits. Bat remains from es Pouàs been incorporated into the deposit through the hunting activities of one or more bioacumulator agents. Between 57% and 36.5% of the species living on the island at the time of the human colonization have recently disappeared

Els mamífers: un repte de Biologia de la conservació

Es presenta una síntesi dels coneixements que tenim sobre la fauna de mamífers terrestres de Cabrera. Es tracta d'una fauna insular mediterrània molt pobre en espècies. Només les rates-pinyades són part de la fauna autòctona. Es presenten diverses recomanacions per a la gestió d'aquesta fauna.A synthesis of the knowledges about the mammal fauna from the Cabrera Archipelago is presented. This a typical Mediterranean island fauna very poor in species. Only the bats belongs to the authoctonous fauna. Some indications for the management of this fauna are presented
